Call for papers on ‘African politeness’

Special Issue of Journal of Politeness Research: Language, Behaviour, Culture on “African Politeness”

  • ï‚· Abstracts of 500 words should be submitted to:
  • ï‚· by January 3rd 2014.
  • ï‚· Abstracts will be reviewed by the guest editors and authors may be invited to

    submit a full draft paper by May 6th 2014.

  • ï‚· Papers should be on some aspect of politeness in African languages and/or

    used by African speakers of European languages.

  • ï‚· Papers on North African and Sub-Saharan African languages and cultures are welcome .
  • ï‚· Papers should be of high quality, taking into account and contributing to recent developments in Politeness Theory.
